Job Description

CAD- und KI-Trainer:in für die Weiterbildung von Maschinenbau-Fachkräften. Vermittlung generativer Design- und KI-gestützter Engineering-Workflows für die digitale Produktentwicklung.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver practical, easy-to-understand training on combining traditional design engineering with modern AI-supported engineering processes
  • Support mechanical engineering professionals as they transition to modern digital product development
  • Teach CAD systems, Generative Design, and the professional use of AI in engineering
  • Help participants complete design tasks more efficiently with AI assistance
  • Teach the effective use of generative AI tools
  • Guide participants in critically evaluating technical solutions and AI-generated results
  • Optimize modern CAD and engineering workflows
  • Teach the responsible and cost-effective integration of AI into day-to-day professional practice
  • Guide participants through the digital engineering process—from the initial design task and AI-supported analysis through generative variant development, technical evaluation and optimization, documentation, and application in professional practice
  • Enable participants to use new technologies thoughtfully and successfully

Requirements:

  • Completed degree or technical training in mechanical engineering, product development, design engineering, or a comparable field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in design engineering, product development, or CAD engineering
  • Very good knowledge of at least one professional CAD system, such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Fusion
  • Practical experience with parametric design and modern CAD workflows
  • In-depth knowledge of current AI applications in engineering and CAD
  • Demonstrated experience using generative AI solutions productively, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Gemini, or comparable systems
  • Experience with AI-supported features in modern CAD systems, such as Generative Design or automated optimization
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated results on a sound technical basis and critically challenge them
  • Strong understanding of the opportunities, limitations, risks, and quality requirements associated with generative AI
  • Experience teaching technical content to adults or comparable training experience
  • Ideally, experience with Generative Design and topology optimization
  • Knowledge of current developments in AI for engineering
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing design processes
  • Knowledge of parametric modeling and automated variant generation
  • Experience with prompt engineering for technical applications
  • Expertise in integrating AI into existing engineering workflows
  • Experience evaluating the technical feasibility, manufacturability, and functionality of AI-generated solutions
  • Knowledge of data protection, copyright, and the responsible use of AI in a corporate context
  • Experience in coaching, project work, or practice-oriented knowledge transfer
  • Experience with Autodesk Fusion Generative Design or comparable solutions
  • Knowledge of Autodesk AI, SolidWorks AI, CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE AI, or similar platforms
  • Experience with BIM-supported AI applications
  • Knowledge of Dynamo, Grasshopper, or other visual scripting solutions
  • Experience with automation tools such as Python, Power Automate, or n8n
  • Knowledge of digital product development, such as Digital Twins, PLM, or simulation
  • Experience with AI-supported documentation and knowledge management
  • Knowledge of modern cloud CAD systems
  • AEVO certification or comparable educational qualification
