Job Description

Certification Engineer guiding Game Aerospace’s composite aircraft through FAA Part 23 certification. Managing certification strategy, schedules, documentation, safety reports, and engineering coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure product development efforts result in certifiable aircraft
  • Work with internal and external engineering teams, DERs, and the ACO to advance programs toward certification
  • Plan, build, and manage project certification strategies
  • Collaborate with design, systems, and production engineers on 14 CFR Part 23 type certification
  • Manage complex project schedules, including planning, updating, and milestone progress reporting
  • Create, review, and submit product safety and certification reports
  • Organize and catalogue certification documentation efficiently and reliably
  • Lead and facilitate meetings related to design, testing, and certification work
  • Lead project management functions for major changes and new product design and certification tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 4 or more years’ experience leading FAA certification programs
  • Experience using modern project management software
  • Experience creating professional and efficient written reports based on technical subjects
  • Expertise in FAA regulations, specifically 14 CFR Part 23
  • Composite design and fabrication experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks (preferred)
  • PMP certification (preferred)
  • High intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and problem-solving ability
  • Fast learner with demonstrated initiative
  • Ability to work in a team setting or independently
  • Unquestionable ethics and personal integrity
