Job Description
Certification Engineer guiding Game Aerospace’s composite aircraft through FAA Part 23 certification. Managing certification strategy, schedules, documentation, safety reports, and engineering coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure product development efforts result in certifiable aircraft
- Work with internal and external engineering teams, DERs, and the ACO to advance programs toward certification
- Plan, build, and manage project certification strategies
- Collaborate with design, systems, and production engineers on 14 CFR Part 23 type certification
- Manage complex project schedules, including planning, updating, and milestone progress reporting
- Create, review, and submit product safety and certification reports
- Organize and catalogue certification documentation efficiently and reliably
- Lead and facilitate meetings related to design, testing, and certification work
- Lead project management functions for major changes and new product design and certification tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 4 or more years’ experience leading FAA certification programs
- Experience using modern project management software
- Experience creating professional and efficient written reports based on technical subjects
- Expertise in FAA regulations, specifically 14 CFR Part 23
- Composite design and fabrication experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks (preferred)
- PMP certification (preferred)
- High intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and problem-solving ability
- Fast learner with demonstrated initiative
- Ability to work in a team setting or independently
- Unquestionable ethics and personal integrity
