Job Description
Chief Growth & Marketing Officer managing growth strategies across crypto, retail, and payments at Wirex. Leading data-driven marketing and innovation in a transformative FinTech environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end growth strategies to accelerate user and partner acquisition, engagement, and retention across B2C, B2B, and B2C2B channels.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and commercial models that strengthen customer lifetime value and drive business expansion.
- Operate as both strategic architect and hands-on executor, ensuring a direct link between strategy, implementation, and measurable results.
- Define, evolve, and protect the company’s brand identity across all markets and customer types.
- Lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, spanning digital, social, influencer, community, PR, and event channels.
- Inspire and lead a small but high-performing marketing team, setting clear priorities and fostering creativity, accountability, and innovation.
- Lead with evidence, using data, metrics, attribution models, and analytics to guide decisions and demonstrate ROI.
- Implement frameworks for growth experimentation and A/B testing, embedding a culture of continuous learning and performance optimization.
- Build dashboards and reporting structures that connect marketing impact to financial and commercial outcomes.
- Manage a lean but effective marketing budget, prioritising initiatives with the greatest growth impact.
- Present compelling, data-backed business cases for increased investment where measurable opportunity exists.
- Partner with key executives to align marketing and growth strategies with company-wide objectives.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Risk & Compliance teams to co-ordinate launches, messaging, and market positioning.
- Ensure the marketing and growth function operates as a strategic pillar of the business, not a support function.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends across crypto, fintech, retail, Web3, and AI, identifying new tools and platforms to enhance customer engagement and brand presence.
- Represent the brand externally as a thought leader, building credibility and influence within the digital asset and retail sectors.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of driving growth and brand development across crypto, fintech or digital payment sectors.
- Direct experience in B2C, B2B, and B2C2B go-to-market models and growth funnels.
- Deep understanding of crypto and blockchain user behaviour, regulatory environments, and digital community dynamics.
- Strong grounding in data-driven marketing, performance analytics, and ROI-based decision-making.
- A leader who is hands-on, resourceful, and unafraid to “muck in” alongside the team.
- Skilled at operating with lean budgets while achieving maximum impact through creative efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing diverse teams and geographies.
- Financial literacy and commercial mindset to translate marketing activities into clear business outcomes.
