Job Description
Remote Case Prepper coordinating client reports, records, invoicing, and physician communications. Supporting AllMed’s clinical decision-making and utilization management solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Receive client submissions and input client and examinee data in the system
- Verify that cases contain information needed for clinical review
- Maintain daily contact with the Clinical QA Department regarding workflow and pending reports
- Track documentation of processes, communications, report status, and due dates
- Maintain a daily follow-up and clarification tracker
- Receive completed reports and review completeness, accuracy, formatting, grammar, and sentence structure
- Complete or ensure daily invoicing in accordance with company practices and client contracts
- Respond to physicians’ or clients’ requests for report status or information
- Coordinate with transcriptionists and physicians’ offices regarding report details, clarification, and addendums
- Ensure medical records and reports are properly documented and saved
- Notify management of report issues or concerns
- Follow HIPAA compliance practices, state and federal safety standards, and legal regulations
- Promote effective and efficient use of clinical resources and supplies
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of two years clinical or related field experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, preferably claims management relative to workers compensation, no-fault, liability, and/or disability
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations with whole numbers and decimals and compute rates and percentages
- Comprehensive understanding of PDF, XLSX, TIFF, JPG, and DOCX file types
- Qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Google Chrome
- High proficiency with Windows or Mac OS
- Excellent English usage, grammar, punctuation, and style
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and respond to upper management
- Accuracy, thoroughness, and quality monitoring
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and use time efficiently
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to promote a positive team-oriented environment
