Job Description
Clinical Admissions Therapist conducting virtual admissions, assessments, and care placement for Charlie Health’s personalized behavioral healthcare. Collaborating with clinical teams and referral sources to expand access to virtual IOP treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients upon admission and build rapport
- Complete virtual biopsychosocial assessments for children, teens, young adults, and adults
- Present programming information to help clients access care
- Determine appropriateness and fit for virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) level of care
- Construct provisional mental health diagnoses using DSM-V criteria
- Document client information in the electronic medical record according to regulatory standards
- Assign treatment team members and group schedules and inform staff of new admissions
- Coordinate intake with Admissions, Verification of Benefits, Utilization Review, and Clinical teams
- Collaborate with referral sources including hospitals, treatment centers, psychiatrists, therapists, and other behavioral health providers
- Cover required morning, afternoon, evening, and potentially weekend shifts
Requirements:
- Independent licensure in a mental health field required
- Independent license preferred; associate-level clinicians may be considered if eager to grow and work toward full licensure
- Experience working with children, teens, young adults, and adults preferred
- Experience completing behavioral health assessments and admissions preferred
- Work authorized in the United States
- Native or bilingual English proficiency
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Access to reliable technology resources for uninterrupted, confidential, and compliant telehealth services
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail and quality of care
- Must be available for 11am–7pm MT or 12pm–8pm MT shifts; weekends encouraged
- Must complete state background checks for clearance to see clients
