Job Description
Clinical Business Analyst for IT solutions company improving healthcare systems and workflows. Working collaboratively to gather requirements, validate solutions, and support implementation in a remote role.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and define business and system requirements to support clinical and operational workflows.
- Conduct gap analyses and develop design and process documentation for system improvements.
- Collaborate with clinicians, technical teams, and stakeholders to design standardized order sets, templates, and clinical workflows.
- Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions with healthcare professionals to identify requirements and validate solutions.
- Develop use cases, process maps, user stories, and requirements documentation.
- Build, validate, and test clinical content within the CIS application.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including workflows, user guides, and training materials.
- Support the development of business cases, facilitate change management, and contribute to clinical standardization across departments.
- Ensure all business and IT requirements align with clinical and operational objectives.
- Work independently with multiple teams to deliver assigned project milestones and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst or Clinical Informatics Analyst involving requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, process design, and documentation.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working with Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS) and healthcare operations.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience implementing or supporting large-scale Health Information System (EHR/CIS) projects.
- Availability to start by the specified start date and work full-time throughout the contract duration.
- 6+ years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst in areas such as CPOE, order sets, clinical documentation, or ancillary systems (Pharmacy, Lab, Imaging) preferred.
- Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written communication) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience leading workshops and facilitating sessions with healthcare providers preferred.
- 5+ years of experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams and handling multiple project streams preferred.
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience using Atlassian JIRA for project management and documentation preferred.
- Prior experience working in public healthcare organizations or with provincial health authorities preferred.
