Job Description
Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineer at WiredPeople responsible for designing, building, and operating Azure cloud platforms. Collaborating with engineering and security teams to ensure secure and reliable cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement cutting-edge Azure infrastructure.
- Build, manage, and scale using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Command the cloud environment architecture, including advanced networking, segmentation, and access control.
- Build and maintain seamless CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Champion deployment reliability, accelerate speed, and refine rollback strategies.
- Standardize build and release processes across diverse engineering squads.
- Partner with the Security team to implement and maintain stringent FedRAMP-compliant controls.
- Rigorously apply RBAC/least privilege, Azure Policy, and comprehensive logging/monitoring.
- Support continuous compliance and seamless evidence collection.
- Implement top-tier monitoring, alerting, and observability using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Drive incident response and conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA).
- Continuously improve system availability, reliability, and speed.
- Act as the vital link between engineering and security, ensuring product features align with platform capabilities.
- Define and enforce cloud best practices while influencing core architectural decisions.
- Mentor fellow engineers and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, heavily focused on Microsoft Azure
- Deep expertise in Terraform (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)
- A solid understanding of Azure networking (VNet, private endpoints, NSGs) and Identity & Access Management (Entra ID, RBAC)
- Experience working within rigorous cloud security and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP preferred)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and flawlessly operate complex production systems.
- Experience operating in highly regulated environments (GovCloud / GCC High / FedRAMP) is preferred.
- Familiarity with modern observability tooling.
- Experience integrating SAST/DAST into delivery pipelines.
- Knowledge of Azure Defender for Cloud / Microsoft Sentinel.
- An understanding of Zero-Trust network architecture principles.
