Job Description
Consultant supporting Matrix Design Group’s defense-related facility planning, analytics, and process improvement projects. Developing technical reports, presentations, budgets, and stakeholder solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting support to the Built Environment Solutions business unit
- Develop study methodologies, collect and analyze data, and plan and program facility and infrastructure requirements
- Research and write formal and informal reports
- Support continuous process improvement and business process reengineering through process mapping, data collection, analysis, visualization, and digital solution development
- Prepare reports, technical documents, presentations, and other project deliverables
- Plan, organize, and lead virtual and in-person stakeholder engagements
- Meet with clients to present results, resolve issues, answer questions, and maintain relationships
- Assist with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, team organization, prioritization, quality assurance, and invoicing
- Develop project work plans and scopes of work
- Provide project oversight and monitor schedules
- Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets and invoicing
- Produce technical memoranda, programming documents such as DD1391s, and technical reports including Planning Charrette Reports
- Administer QA/QC for project deliverables
- Maintain effective communication with clients and project teams
- Conduct technical reporting and presentations
- Ensure staff resources are deployed productively and profitably
- Conduct regular meetings to balance project needs with staff availability
- Support proposal development by providing content for approaches, schedules, and other assigned sections
- Collaborate with BES team members, Project Managers, and the Deputy Director of BES
Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, operations research, data science or related field of study
- Minimum of eight (8) years of work-related experience
- Preferred experience working with or for the Department of Defense
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass the Company's MVR screening
- Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Well versed in Microsoft Office suite
- Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and other facility offices
- Project management and project delivery skills
- Ability to direct staff, bid projects, and develop project execution plans and technical deliverables
- Team building, writing, proposal development, cost estimating, and program execution skills are a plus
- Ability to work effectively as a project manager in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
- Organized and detail oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
