Job Description

Corporate QA Manager overseeing Green Thumb’s cannabis production quality systems and regulatory compliance. Leading audits, incident management, CAPA, metrics, and continuous improvement across production facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement company quality standards
  • Monitor, review, and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures, including training, communication, and documentation
  • Manage the network’s Quality Incident Program
  • Train and motivate employees to ensure quality standards are met
  • Analyze information to achieve quality assurance operational objectives
  • Estimate requirements, prepare annual budgets, and schedule expenditures
  • Develop quality assurance plans through hazard analyses and monitoring procedures
  • Validate product specification quality attributes and develop corresponding quality processes
  • Maintain and improve product quality through product, company, system, and compliance audits
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Provide technical expertise and support to assigned Cultivation/Production facilities and quality-focused projects
  • Prepare Quality Operations data, metrics, and performance analyses for Management Review meetings
  • Identify, recommend, and implement preventative actions and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Plan and assess audit results and analyses of non-conformity
  • Interface with cross-functional internal stakeholders on risk and compliance
  • Support administration and maintenance of the document management system
  • Engage with cross-functional leaders to review serious adverse events and ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • Oversee customer complaints and internal and external CAPA processes with Quality and Compliance leadership
  • Manage quality metrics for the Quality Incident Management program and drive root-cause issue elimination and effectiveness checks
  • Serve as an expert in applicable domestic and international regulations and standards, including FDA, USDA, SQF, and CSQ
  • Develop remote internal audit programs when applicable
  • Assist in hiring Quality roles as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in food manufacturing quality assurance
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s degree in microbiology, food science, or chemical engineering preferred
  • Proficiency in SQF, FSMA, and other food safety and quality systems required
  • Must be HACCP and PCQI certified
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of product-specific standards, materials, and manufacturing processes/techniques
  • High level of accountability and technical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Track record of engaging teams and creating a collaborative culture
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • Experience using electronic Quality Management Systems preferred
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by a state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry
