Job Description

Creative Operations Manager optimizing staffing, capacity, and workflows for Nen Creative’s studio serving technology startups. Building systems to coordinate creative production across projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Own resource planning across all active and upcoming creative projects
  • Maintain visibility into team availability, workload, project schedules, and upcoming capacity
  • Identify capacity gaps, scheduling conflicts, and potential bottlenecks
  • Track utilization and help leadership understand team capacity
  • Anticipate future resource needs based on the studio pipeline
  • Match projects with internal team members based on skills, experience, availability, and project needs
  • Partner with Creative Producers and creative leads to build project teams
  • Support staffing for new business opportunities and incoming projects
  • Manage staffing changes as project scopes, timelines, and priorities shift
  • Coordinate internal staffing across shoots and maintain visibility into the studio-wide shoot calendar
  • Build and maintain systems, trackers, and dashboards for resource and project planning
  • Improve project planning, staffing, kickoff, tracking, and handoff workflows
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and develop practical solutions
  • Create consistent processes for Creative Producers and creative teams
  • Identify automation opportunities and reduce unnecessary coordination
  • Help leadership understand the operational impact of upcoming work before commitments are made

Requirements:

  • Must be based in the United States
  • 3–5 years of experience in creative operations, resource management, project coordination, creative production, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of creative production workflows, including pre-production, shoot execution, and post-production
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Naturally proactive and able to identify potential problems early
  • Strong people skills and ability to build trust with creatives, project leads, and leadership
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and constantly changing timelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information
  • Resourceful, persistent, and comfortable working without a rigid playbook
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets and project management tools, and quick to learn new systems
  • Naturally interested in finding better ways for teams to work
  • Must be comfortable working late nights and weekends as needed; this is not a 9-5 job
  • Must not require employment visa sponsorship
