Job Description

Data Analyst shaping deposits analytics for Salmon, a Southeast Asian fintech building banking and lending products. Forecasting churn, monitoring liquidity, and guiding product decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly on the deposits product and influence what gets measured and why
  • Take business questions end to end by pulling data, analysing it, and making recommendations
  • Produce recurring portfolio reporting and conduct ad-hoc research, segmentation, and unit-economics analysis
  • Build reporting and analytics on deposits volumes, structure, and dynamics over time
  • Define the product metric tree, funnels, and retention analysis
  • Monitor liquidity and concentration across the portfolio
  • Forecast depositor churn and identify its drivers
  • Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for the product team

Requirements:

  • Practical SQL proficiency, including window functions, CTEs, and complex joins
  • Solid grounding in statistics
  • Ability to run an investigation end to end, from question to conclusion
  • English at B1 or above for written communication, documentation, and calls
  • Analytical maturity outweighing years of experience
  • Databricks or Spark SQL experience (nice to have)
  • dbt experience (nice to have)
  • Python experience (nice to have)
  • BI dashboard experience (nice to have)
  • Fintech or banking experience (nice to have)
