Job Description

Data Analyst supporting Defense Health Agency decision-making through MHS data analysis and Power BI/Tableau dashboards. Delivering recurring and ad-hoc healthcare insights for U.S. government stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze structured and unstructured datasets from multiple Military Health System data sources
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI or Tableau
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven insights
  • Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshooting
  • Support recurring reporting requirements and respond to ad-hoc data requests from DHA leadership
  • Use SQL, SAS, Python, or similar tools to extract, manipulate, and analyze healthcare and operational data
  • Communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Document data processes, methodologies, and reporting procedures
  • Participate in regular client meetings and provide analytical support to ongoing program initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement of data analysis, reporting, and visualization processes

Requirements:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Military Health System (MHS) data, including systems such as M2, MDR, or similar healthcare data repositories
  • At least 1 year of experience creating and maintaining dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience in a client-facing role, supporting stakeholders or program leadership
  • Experience with at least one of: SAS, SQL, R, Python
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
