Job Description
Data Analytics Intern using SQL, Python and statistical models at Super.com, a financial technology company helping people save and earn more. Building dashboards and insights for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Use data to answer strategic questions and support business strategy and rapid growth
- Organize, visualize and understand large datasets related to performance marketing channels
- Conduct deep-dive analysis
- Create regression or segmentation models
- Build automated dashboards and funnels for internal teams
- Generate reporting to drive business growth and strategic insights from product, user and operational data
- Promote a data-driven culture and support strategy and decision-making
- Access, clean and organize raw data for teams and stakeholders
- Collaborate with full-time developers and participate in team meetings, Slack chats and social events
Requirements:
- Ability to pull, clean and manipulate large sets of complex data into understandable business insights
- SQL query writing
- Data analysis with Python and/or R
- Experience with analytics tools: Looker, Amplitude, DBT and Snowflake
- Solid understanding of common statistical methods and real-world applications
- Ability to work independently while accepting mentorship and guidance
- Ability to address stakeholder requests and contribute insights
- Ownership of work and problem-solving ability
- Comfort navigating ambiguous or changing priorities
- Understanding of how data insights connect to broader business goals
- Candidates can be based anywhere in Canada
- Minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone
- Availability for a 40-hour work week
- Must be available during core working hours, 9/10 am–5/6 pm EST, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility
- Must be residing in the country where their school is located for the complete internship duration
- Must be currently attending a school, college or university
- Must provide an unofficial grade report
- Internship must be part of an academic program or completed independently
- Must disclose current academic performance, educational institution, number of completed internships/work terms, and current year of study
