Job Description

Data Scientist building and deploying customer-intelligence models for CSI’s banking software platform. Supporting segmentation, behavioral prediction, monitoring, and client-facing insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy machine learning models for customer segmentation, propensity scoring, and behavioral prediction in partnership with senior data scientists
  • Own data exploration, feature engineering, and model validation for assigned modeling projects, with regular code review and technical guidance from the senior team
  • Partner with MLOps engineers to deploy models to production and ensure ongoing performance through monitoring and retraining
  • Contribute to evaluation frameworks and success metrics connecting model outputs to client business outcomes
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data engineering peers on cross-functional initiatives
  • Document modeling work for internal stakeholders, financial institution clients, and compliance review
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and team learning sessions
  • Support analytical work and dashboards translating model outputs into actionable insights for clients

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in applied machine learning, data science, or analytical engineering roles
  • At least 1 year in production-grade modeling work
  • Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and SQL for data analysis and modeling
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniques including classification and regression
  • Familiarity with common modeling pitfalls in customer behavioral data
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud-based ML platform (AWS preferred, but GCP or Azure acceptable)
  • Demonstrated ability to take a modeling project from problem framing through validation independently
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a quantitative field
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical work for non-technical audiences
