Job Description
NY-licensed DBT Therapist providing individual therapy and skills groups through Lyra’s evidence-based telehealth platform. Assigning digital DBT activities and collaborating with consultation teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual DBT therapy via live video to adult clients
- Facilitate DBT skills groups via live video
- Assign DBT-relevant digital lessons, videos, and assessments
- Enhance client learning and monitor outcomes between sessions
- Deliver culturally responsive care to clients from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs and abilities
- Attend weekly consultation team meetings
- Attend one-on-one consultation meetings with an expert DBT team lead
- Co-lead DBT skills groups with other DBT providers
- Attend robust trainings to enhance clinical skills
- Provide care with team support during crises
Requirements:
- Unrestricted, active New York license, able to work independently without supervision from a licensed supervisor, without current or pending disciplinary action
- Any New York LMFT/LCSW licenses must have diagnostic privilege
- Formal didactic training in DBT required
- One year minimum experience providing comprehensive DBT, including individual DBT therapy through Stage 1, facilitating skills groups utilizing Linehan materials, participation on a consultation team, and skills coaching
- Experience, comfort, and passion working with clients who present with high risk behaviors, including suicidal ideation and/or self-injury
- Willingness to obtain cross-licensing in additional states as needed
- Computer and live video tools literacy, such as Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, and Skype
- DBT-LBC certification preferred but not required
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services preferred but not required
