Job Description
WIL training partner co-designing education and workforce pathways for private wells and septic systems. Supporting rural training partnerships, proposals, credentials, safety, and public-health competencies.
Responsibilities:
- Represent a training provider, public health agency, cooperative extension, nonprofit, or employer serving well and septic professionals
- Co-design education and training for decentralized water workers
- Define target geographies, often rural, and trainee pathways
- Support partnership documentation for joint proposals when agreed
- Advise on credentials, safety, and public-health competencies for the field
Requirements:
- Direct experience with private well, septic, or decentralized water training or service delivery
- Organizational affiliation able to host or co-deliver training
- Willingness for time-bounded collaboration
- Authorization to work with a U.S. research organization
- Open to full-time employment or project-based contract engagement
- Remote-first with travel as partner and field work requires
- State onsite or wastewater certification program ties (nice to have)
- Rural or tribal community reach (nice to have)
- Existing trainee placement into decentralized water jobs (nice to have)
