Job Description
DevOps Engineer III building scalable AWS infrastructure and delivery pipelines for mPulse's healthcare conversational AI platform. Managing production systems, security, compliance, and on-call operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support development and implementation of the company's DevOps strategy
- Collaborate with development, product, operations, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to deliver software quickly and reliably
- Design and deploy scalable, highly available AWS infrastructure using Nomad, Consul, Vault, and Terraform
- Integrate engineering work into the company's DevOps pipeline
- Manage the GitHub source code repository and enforce code review and branching best practices
- Monitor production system health and performance and troubleshoot issues
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support and critical incident response
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet industry standards and regulations
- Provide guidance and mentorship to DevOps Engineers I and II
- Respond to assigned bugs and hotfixes
- Complete and release production code
- Contribute to technical discussions and technical project success
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices, tools, and technologies, including continuous integration, deployment, and delivery
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure using GitHub Actions, Nomad, Consul, Vault, and Terraform
- Experience managing GitHub source code repositories and following code review and branching best practices
- Understanding of Linux/Unix systems
- Experience with shell and Python scripting
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production systems
- Experience with security and compliance in a DevOps environment
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations
- Experience with healthcare data is beneficial
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to stand and sit for an extended period of time
