Job Description

Director leading HECM capital markets, securitizations, loan sales, and remediation. Supporting Onity Group’s mortgage servicing and origination solutions while managing investor and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for capital markets activities supporting reverse mortgage portfolios
  • Direct HECM remediation initiatives by identifying loan deficiencies, overseeing corrective action plans, and ensuring timely resolution of FHA, HUD, and Ginnie Mae compliance issues
  • Work with other departments and third parties to execute requests and create process efficiencies
  • Support execution of HECM securitizations, loan sales, and related capital markets transactions
  • Monitor changes to FHA, Ginnie Mae, and investor requirements affecting reverse mortgage products
  • Maintain expertise in FHA reverse mortgage regulations, HECM program requirements, and investor guidelines
  • Lead operational processes supporting HECM delivery and capital markets execution
  • Drive continuous process and execution improvement initiatives
  • Ensure timely movement of loans into HMBS pools or investor delivery channels
  • Allocate resources and drive accountability to direct reports to ensure achievement of results
  • Optimize loan sale strategies and manage investor relationships
  • Mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risk

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years in the mortgage industry
  • At least 5 years in capital markets
  • Experience with GNMA, Agency TBA buy/sell sides, Non-Agency private placements, and HMBS markets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • At least 5 years of experience analyzing, trading, and managing securitization products
  • Custom/specification trading expertise
  • Preferably exposure to MBS derivatives and Mortgage Servicing Rights
  • Proven capability in addressing complex technical, administrative, and managerial challenges
  • Must pass the Company’s Background Screening process prior to beginning employment
  • May be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable
