Job Description
Director of Engineering leading software development teams at a travel booking platform. Driving AI capabilities and guiding product development across the engineering organization.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product outcomes for your teams, not just their delivery
- Drive AI on two fronts, as a product capability and as a development practice
- Actively direct the data science team
- Coach Product Owners to grow from backlog managers into outcome-oriented thinkers
- Identify, mentor, and grow senior development leads into development managers
- Guide the personal and career development of your people
- Foster a culture that encourages learning, trust, and bravery
Requirements:
- 5+ years leading software engineering teams in Agile delivery environments
- Hands-on experience driving AI-assisted and agentic development adoption at team or company scale
- Experience operating in a regulated compliance environment such as PCI DSS or SOC 2
- Consumer-only product instincts are not enough
- Strong front-end and customer-facing shopping experience is preferred
- Comfortable owning product direction with Product Owners
