Job Description
Director of Engineering at TheGuarantors, managing Landlord Solutions engineering teams. Focusing on high-impact deliverables and technical strategy in a fintech environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop Engineering Managers across multiple teams
- Drive predictable delivery of high-impact business outcomes with strong quality and ownership
- Partner with Product to shape roadmaps, evaluate tradeoffs, and align engineering investments with business priorities
- Provide technical leadership on architecture, platform strategy, and cross-team decisions
- Improve execution through better planning, risk management, dependency coordination, and accountability
- Ensure teams focus on the highest-value work while balancing speed, reliability, and long-term maintainability
- Support organizational growth through hiring, performance management, and leadership development
Requirements:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading Engineering Managers or multiple teams
- Strong technical judgment and credibility, with the ability to guide architecture and technical strategy
- Proven track record in building high-performing teams that deliver business-critical systems reliably
- Experience partnering closely with Product to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Strong execution skills, including risk management, prioritization, and driving accountability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers and develop engineering leaders
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment with ambiguity and competing priorities
