Job Description
Director of Operations scaling Radius, Stand Together’s place-based community transformation initiative. Building operating systems, aligning four markets, and supporting local leaders in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Lead project and program management across the Radius initiative
- Lead ongoing prioritization across workstreams
- Develop and maintain knowledge management systems across Radius initiatives
- Drive a product team operating rhythm
- Run the operational side of Radius strategy with systems and checkpoints
- Operationalize market strategy alignment across four markets
- Lead internal strategy coordination for aligned Stand Together initiatives
- Own relay operations tracking market-based solutions across markets
- Steward shared partnership protocols, signals, measures, and portability standards
- Coordinate external communications, including presentation preparation
- Ensure strong execution across the executive support function
- Track funder commitments for development and portfolio planning
- Interface with the Stand Together Foundation Investments team to deliver market-side operational data
- Work alongside the Managing Director to build scalable systems, rhythms, and standards
- Spend meaningful time in markets and support field execution
Requirements:
- 8+ years of operations leadership experience
- Strong track record designing, improving, and scaling operational systems across multiple sites, markets, or regions
- Exceptional systems-thinking skills
- Ability to build structures, processes, and operating rhythms without unnecessary complexity
- Builder's mindset and learner's curiosity
- Alignment with community-centered approaches to change
- Experience working in collaborative, matrixed environments
- Ability to build trust, navigate multiple stakeholder relationships, and drive alignment
- Highly adaptable and hands-on
- Willingness to spend significant time in the field
- Excellent communication, project management, and execution skills
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Radius markets: Grand Rapids, Wichita, Oklahoma City, and Dallas
- Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach
- Experience in community development, social enterprise, economic mobility, or other place-based work is highly valued
