Job Description
Product design director leading discovery, design systems, and AI experiences for Impiricus’s healthcare commercialization platform. Guiding designers across mobile, web, and regulated health-tech products.
Responsibilities:
- Own product design across the portfolio and set the bar for the function
- Stay hands-on on the highest-stakes product surfaces
- Maintain standards for clarity, accessibility, workflow fit, and consistent product quality
- Lead user discovery with HCPs, patients, and internal users
- Translate research and feedback into actionable design direction
- Build understanding of physician and operator workflows for roadmap discussions
- Partner with Product on post-launch experience measurement
- Own and govern the product design system, including components, patterns, and tokens
- Extend the design framework for product UI and AI-assisted build flows
- Design AI-powered experiences, conversational flows, agent interactions, and UX guardrails for regulated contexts
- Partner with AI and engineering leadership on platform and builder UI
- Establish critique, review, and quality standards for the design team
- Partner with product and engineering leads from discovery through delivery
- Represent design in product planning
- Partner with Engineering on feasibility, implementation fidelity, and front-end delivery
- Partner with Compliance and MLR on regulatory product UI requirements, fair balance, and required disclosures
Requirements:
- 7+ years in product design with a portfolio of complex, workflow-heavy shipped products
- Experience across mobile and web, including platform or multi-surface products
- Health tech, life sciences, or other regulated product design experience strongly preferred
- Track record owning a design system or framework in production
- Experience designing AI-assisted, conversational, or agentic product surfaces, or equivalent platform/builder UI
- Track record running user discovery
- Experience managing designers or standing up a small design function
- Strong hands-on craft in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping
- Comfortable as a player-coach
- Credible partnership with product and engineering leadership
- Product management experience is a plus, not a requirement
