Job Description

Director leading Salesforce, sales-process, product, and training adoption for Daikin’s HVAC sales channels. Driving dealer growth, market share, coaching, and strategic initiatives across the Northeast U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive culture change within the Sales team through adoption of Salesforce, Daikin Sales Process, products, and programs
  • Manage a team of Product Specialists and teach TSMs to qualify, win, and retain key targets
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to maximize high-performing salespeople and coach underperforming or disengaged salespeople
  • Define processes to execute and measure strategic product and program goals
  • Drive coaching culture with ASMs to enable talent development and TSM growth
  • Oversee implementation and adoption of Daikin Sales Process and Salesforce tools
  • Assist with implementation and effective use of the Inside Sales program
  • Communicate and reinforce Company expectations for DCPs and Amana Advantage dealers
  • Oversee coordination of sales activities and training execution for TSMs, RSDs, and dealers
  • Create strategic growth initiatives for Independent Distributors and dealers
  • Research and analyze business opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them
  • Develop and track dealer targets with Region Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Regional Sales Directors
  • Assist DVPs with Regional Managers and Regional Sales Directors to resolve dealer conflicts
  • Use pricing, market share, and potential market revenue analysis to select conversion targets
  • Identify underperforming markets and develop solutions to meet goals
  • Report field issues to appropriate departments and participate in follow-up calls
  • Perform additional projects and duties supporting ongoing business needs
  • Develop and implement strategic departmental plans and objectives
  • Provide leadership and direction to managers
  • Address staffing needs, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and evaluations
  • Participate in budget development and expense monitoring

Requirements:

  • Local to the Northeast U.S. region
  • 12+ years of business development experience
  • 8+ years of people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States
  • Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future
  • Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, and manage several complex projects simultaneously under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to inspire and coach others to embrace and implement complex products and programs
  • Demonstrated tenacity and initiative to create new business opportunities, with ability to persuade and influence others
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude, including MS Office (Excel, Word) and various technology and point-of-sale applications
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to represent the company effectively and appreciation for diverse culture
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business policies, procedures, manuals, training materials, and corporate communication
  • Ability to compose professional internal and external business communications
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity
