Job Description

GE Aerospace director leading technical product management for jet-engine and aircraft systems. Driving ERP solutions, product roadmaps, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct a team of software engineers in building requirements and transforming them into solutions that drive business outcomes
  • Own planning, forecasting, production, and the end-to-end product lifecycle
  • Partner with product owners and technical development teams using deep process/domain expertise
  • Influence stakeholders in design and planning decisions
  • Drive development of products for technical audiences
  • Convert business needs into functional specifications and user stories
  • Work with customers and stakeholders to prioritize needs
  • Create the strategic product roadmap
  • Coordinate several parallel teams to deliver higher-level outcomes
  • Ensure transparent delivery and maximize returns
  • Focus on execution throughout product releases
  • Manage a small to medium team of professionals
  • Influence strategy, resource control, and policy formulation
  • Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services
  • Make decisions and handle complex operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering problems
  • Lead functional teams or projects and communicate difficult concepts to stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum 8 years of professional experience OR associate's degree with minimum 11 years of professional experience OR high school diploma with minimum 13 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience successfully implementing complex ERP systems, Oracle preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a people manager in a matrixed enterprise environment
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
  • Strong knowledge of ERP system data structures, preferably Oracle
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Familiarity with versatile implementation options
  • Ability to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
  • Skill in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements, and estimating efforts
  • Ability to analyze the impact of technology choices
  • Knowledge of the competitive environment
  • Strong communication, leadership, delegation, and employee motivation skills
