Job Description
EDI Consultant managing integrations, mappings, and partner projects. Supporting digital processes for NORDFROST, Germany’s frozen-logistics market leader.
Responsibilities:
- Independently handle support and consulting inquiries from our partners relating to EDI and EAI
- Analyze business and technical requirements, assess feasibility, and implement suitable EDI solutions
- Implement standardized and customized EDI processes and interfaces for various stakeholders in transport logistics, warehouse logistics, and internal systems
- Independently plan, manage, and implement EDI projects, particularly the onboarding of new EDI partners and interfaces
- Configure, conduct, and document tests, and support commissioning and go-live activities
- Develop and maintain mappings and conversions in the EDI converter
- Analyze and resolve disruptions and errors in ongoing EDI operations
- Optimize existing EDI processes and interfaces
- Work closely with business departments, internal IT teams, and business partners
Requirements:
- Completed vocational training in IT, such as training as an IT specialist, a degree in an IT-related field, or comparable practical experience in EDI
- Professional experience in EDI and experience planning and implementing EDI projects
- Good knowledge of converting and processing various message and data formats, particularly EDIFACT (e.g., ORDERS, DESADV, IFTMIN, and IFCSUM), XML, SAP IDoc and SAP XML, CSV, and JSON
- Good understanding of technical communication protocols and interfaces, such as AS2, SFTP, HTTP, and APIs
- Experience developing mappings with an EDI converter; knowledge of Lobster_data is an advantage
- Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases
- Programming experience in Java development is an advantage
- Analytical and structured approach to work, combined with strong problem-solving skills
- Confident and friendly manner when communicating directly with our partners
- Fluent German and good written and spoken English
