Job Description

Product auditor planning and conducting audits of fire protection and security products for VdS, a global security-services institution. Worldwide manufacturer visits with optional home office or mobile work after probation.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, conduct, and perform the preparation and follow-up of on-site product audits at manufacturers from the company’s customer base
  • Monitor the manufacturing of fire protection and security technology products
  • Regular worldwide travel to manufacturers as part of the field-based role
  • Participate in a six- to twelve-month onboarding and training program, depending on prior qualifications

Requirements:

  • University degree in one of the fields listed above, or comparable training with a technician’s or master craftsperson’s qualification
  • Willingness to travel worldwide on a regular basis as part of the field-based role (approximately 60%)
  • Experience in manufacturing, electrical engineering, and mechanics
  • Experience auditing products and/or management systems is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and an independent, team-oriented approach to work
  • Excellent written and spoken German
  • Very good command of English
  • Ideally, qualification as a Quality Management Representative and/or Quality Management Auditor
  • Practical experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Teams, and Access
