Virtual math tutor supporting U.S. K–8 students with BookNook’s provided lessons. Delivering recurring online sessions and targeted skills practice.

Tutor students across the United States in elementary and middle-school math
Deliver provided, pre-designed math lessons and practice extension materials
Support students in grades K–8, with tutors choosing their grade levels
Meet with students in consistent, recurring weekly sessions
Provide targeted support for skills and topics at or below grade level
Build meaningful professional connections and an encouraging learning environment
Attend at least 80% of claimed sessions
Participate in the application and onboarding process
Potentially submit a five-minute recorded tutoring demonstration
Potentially attend a 15-minute virtual meeting with a BookNook team member
Complete onboarding, including payment-account setup, FBI background check, and paid tutor certification

Experience as a classroom teacher, EL/ESL/ELL professional, tutor, coach, or in similar student support
Online instruction experience; college degree preferred
Ability to deliver pre-designed, best-practice math lessons
Ability to support students improving skills and topics at or below grade level
Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students
Ability to create an encouraging and motivating learning environment with supportive student corrections
Computer (laptop or desktop)
Webcam
Clean, distraction-free environment
Reliable, high-speed internet connection of at least 20 Mbps
Must reside in and tutor from one of the listed eligible U.S. states or Washington, DC
All sessions must be conducted from within the 50 United States or Washington, DC
Availability often including at least one hour Monday through Thursday between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET
