Job Description

Lead Engineering team at Monks focusing on project management, agile methodologies, and cross-department collaboration. Provide continuous support and development for team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a diverse engineering squad of professionals;
  • Provide continuous feedback, guidance and support to the team, helping them overcome obstacles and improve their skills;
  • Plan and coordinate the distribution of tasks and responsibilities among squad members, ensuring everyone understands their assignments and deadlines;
  • Monitor the progress of tasks and projects, adjusting allocations and priorities as needed to keep schedules on track;
  • Ensure all relevant information is communicated clearly between the client and the team, including project requirements, feedback, deadlines, and any scope changes;
  • Team Management: Hold team meetings to align tasks, discuss progress and resolve impediments;
  • Project Planning and Prioritization: Define priorities and allocate resources according to project goals and deadlines;
  • Project Tracking: Monitor project progress, ensuring they remain on schedule and within budget;
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular contact with clients and other departments to align expectations and provide status updates;
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical and operational issues that may arise during project execution;
  • Team Development: Provide ongoing feedback, identify training needs and support the professional development of team members;
  • Continuous Improvement: Review and optimize internal processes to increase the team’s efficiency and quality of work.

Requirements:

  • Experience planning, organizing and managing projects;
  • Ability to manage schedules, resources and deliverables to ensure successful project completion;
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean);
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Trello;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
  • Skilled in preparing clear and concise reports and presentations;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and stakeholders.
