Job Description
Software Engineer Manager responsible for architecting digital products using modern technologies at Allstate. Leads IT-related activities, team management, and product success accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Architects and designs their digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems.
- Owns and manages running their application in production, accountable for the success of their digital products through achieving KPIs.
- Plans, directs, designs, and executes IT-related activities and programs that are of a complex and critical nature.
- Selects, leads, counsels, motivates, sets expectations and evaluates medium to large teams.
- Confers and advises direct reports on administrative policies and procedures, risks, issues, problem resolution, sourcing decisions, budget and priorities.
- Leads and participates in knowledge sharing.
- Participates in product scoping, discovery, and framing.
- Contributes technical input and helps translate user features into system design.
- Serves as the anchor of the team and practices technical leadership.
Requirements:
- 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred not required)
- 7 or more years of experience (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Skills in Business Software, Collaboration, Computer Science, Java, Software Development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Strategic Management.
