Job Description
Expert Java Developer building secure Java microservices, REST APIs, and messaging systems for AlmavivA de Belgique. Setting up CI/CD pipelines and supporting enterprise deployments remotely from Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to improving the development and build process
- Design and develop production-grade, enterprise-level systems using messaging and microservices
- Participate in Java implementation of a microservices solution
- Write reliable, fast, scalable, and secure backend code satisfying requirements and service-level agreements
- Write OAuth authentication mechanisms
- Implement validation mechanisms as unit and integration tests
- Assist with deployment and system configuration
- Set up CI/CD pipelines
- Work with Kubernetes and Docker
- Follow Scrum procedures and disciplines
- Estimate requested work
- Write technical documentation
- Apply secure coding practices and implement logging and auditing features
- Communicate clearly with peers and upper management when needed
- Write clean, secure, high-quality code
- Collaborate comfortably within a team
Requirements:
- More than 15 years in IT
- More than 9 years of experience in Java Backend Development using REST APIs, RDBMs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines and BDD
- Experience in more than two production-ready solutions written in Java with Vert.X
- Experience in more than two production-ready solutions using Apache NiFi 2.0
- Experience in at least one production-ready solution using TensorFlow and TensorFlow Java bindings
- Experience in more than one production-ready project with the OAUTH standard
- More than two years of experience in an international/multi-cultural environment
- More than three years of experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Sound knowledge of Apache Camel, including Enterprise Integration patterns and messaging patterns involving ActiveMQ or RabbitMQ
- Sound knowledge of Java and experience with Spring Boot 3 and Vert.X
- Sound knowledge of back-end component design and development, including REST APIs, integrations, and microservices
- Sound knowledge of writing unit tests for Java
- Good knowledge of software development methodologies, e.g. Agile
- Good knowledge of programming on SQL Server databases with T-SQL
- Good knowledge of OOP paradigms and SOLID principles
- Good knowledge of the OAuth standard
- Capability to be part of an Agile team implementing Scrum
- Good knowledge of Kafka Stream architecture
- Hands-on experience with Git using pull request procedures
