Job Description

Field Applications Engineer supporting Altium’s electronics design software sales. Delivering technical demonstrations, customer training, and product content across Australia and New Zealand.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute technical sales support, pre-sales activities, and customer engagement as a Field Applications Engineer
  • Conduct technical discovery engagements, technical sales presentations, and product value proposition demonstrations
  • Create and deliver live and on-demand technical content for sales and marketing campaigns
  • Understand client technical and business challenges and establish credibility with prospects, customers, and partners
  • Serve as a technical expert supporting the Sales Team and help reduce sales cycles
  • Expand the sales pipeline within targeted accounts and act as the primary technical liaison
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning for sales and business opportunities
  • Drive adoption, subscriptions, renewals, and brand loyalty for Altium’s product portfolio
  • Expand technical knowledge through technical content and the Altium product roadmap
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor products, features, and emerging technologies
  • Train customers using Altium Training Content
  • Deliver instructor-led training sessions
  • Maintain current knowledge of customer training content
  • Develop and update training content, including scripts, video storyboards, project examples, and technical video series
  • Collaborate with internal departments on new product features and development
  • Mentor and guide internal and external trainers
  • Deliver courses as appropriate and as updated

Requirements:

  • Experience with Altium Designer preferred but not essential
  • Electrical/Electronics engineering background desired
  • Some travel across Australia & New Zealand
