Job Description
Field Service Engineer installing, training, and repairing Formlabs 3D printing systems across the DACH region. Managing customer-site service visits, troubleshooting, travel, and Salesforce documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Install, commission, and calibrate new 3D printing systems at customer sites
- Conduct on-site user training on machinery operation, software use, and basic maintenance
- Perform live product demonstrations
- Respond to customer downtime and perform urgent repairs, often on short notice
- Conduct annual preventative maintenance visits within the 90-day target window
- Diagnose electromechanical issues and achieve single-visit resolutions
- Execute a high volume of service activity
- Independently manage travel schedules and submit expenses on time
- Maintain installation, training, and repair records in Salesforce
Requirements:
- Based in Frankfurt, Berlin, or Munich (highly preferred due to hub connectivity)
- Willing to travel 80%+ of the time
- Strong technical background in electromechanical/hardware
- Ability to teach others how to use technical equipment
- Fluency in German and English (both C1)
- Valid driver’s license required
- English résumé required
- French fluency, passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies, and experience in rapidly-growing startup environments are bonus skills
