Job Description
Remote Finance Data Analyst unifying Sauce's financial data stack for its commission-free restaurant delivery platform. Improving reporting accuracy, KPI tracking, forecasting, and automated decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and QA financial data outputs from Preset and Databricks against source systems; flag discrepancies before reporting
- Own the G Suite financial infrastructure, including Sheets, Drive, model structure, and version control
- Build and maintain recurring reports for revenue by channel and order type, delivery margin, and order-level economics
- Maintain consistency of financial and operational KPI calculations across reporting systems
- Maintain and develop fully loaded COGS tracking, including courier fees, payment processing, and infrastructure allocation
- Track budget versus actual performance across departments and highlight key variances
- Assist with monthly forecasting, scenario analysis, and business performance reviews
- Prepare reconciled data and variance analysis for management reporting
- Maintain actuals data to support rolling forecast updates and management reporting
- Unify Sauce's financial data stack and enable faster, more automated decision-making
- Own the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of financial data for leadership decision-making
- Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to reduce manual reporting, improve data quality, and accelerate decision-making
Requirements:
- 3+ years in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Business Analytics, or Finance Analyst roles in a technology company
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to investigate discrepancies across multiple systems and identify root causes
- Expertise in Google Sheets and/or Excel, including financial modeling, multi-sheet models, and dynamic formulas
- SQL proficiency required
- Databricks or similar data warehouse experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with a BI tool such as Preset, Tableau, Looker, or equivalent
- Strong understanding of SaaS, marketplace, fintech, or high-volume transaction-based business models and unit economics, including revenue, COGS, CAC, LTV, and margin
- Strong written and spoken English
- Detail-oriented approach to unreconciled numbers
- Experience with Databricks, Preset, SaasGrid, QuickBooks, Stripe, Google Workspace, and AI/LLM technologies
- Nice to have: Python and GitHub
- Nice to have: experience with data pipelines, data models, or analytics infrastructure
- Nice to have: prior experience in marketplace, SaaS, fintech, or high-transaction-volume technology environments
