Job Description
Finance systems analyst automating accounting close and reporting for Tilt, a mobile-first lender using machine learning credit models. Building SQL, Python, ERP, and BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Automate recurring accounting workflows for reconciliations, variance analysis, flux commentary, and close
- Pull, clean, and join NetSuite GL, transaction, subledger, and other source-system data
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for Accounting and Finance
- Partner with BI to build and test financial data models
- Trace dbt/SQL logic to diagnose discrepancies and validate outputs against the GL
- Prepare audit and PBC requests
- Document processes and queries
- Troubleshoot broken reports, failed data loads, and reconciliation breaks
- Administer finance systems including NetSuite, Aleph, and AP automation tools
- Replace manual spreadsheet processes with automated workflows
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1–5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or data-focused role
- Strong SQL skills, including complex joins and aggregations
- Working knowledge of dbt, including models, sources, and lineage
- Ability to test changes end-to-end and identify issues in data models, queries, and processes
- Advanced Excel skills
- Hands-on experience with an ERP such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
- Ability to work independently, manage requests, handle concurrent projects, and communicate with technical and non-technical teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Preferred but not required: Tableau, Looker, or Power BI; accounting principles and financial reporting logic; CPA or currently pursuing CPA
