Job Description
Finance Systems Engineer optimizing NetSuite order-to-cash systems at Go1, a global learning platform. Improving integrations, financial controls, automation, and AI-assisted finance operations.
Responsibilities:
- Own and improve NetSuite order-to-cash workflows, from customer and sales-order data through invoicing, payments, credits, refunds, reconciliation, and close support
- Configure, troubleshoot, and safely extend NetSuite using SuiteScript 2.x, SuiteFlow, transaction forms, saved searches, SuiteAnalytics, and invoice templates
- Design, build, and support observable, recoverable, and reconciled integrations and data flows using APIs, webhooks, iPaaS, workflow, or scripting tools
- Lead investigations into financial-system incidents and data-quality issues, identify root causes, restore reliable operation, and reduce recurring manual work
- Lead requirements discovery and technical design with Finance, Accounting, Tax, and RevOps; turn operational needs into practical system changes with clear ownership and controls
- Support billing, payment, tax, and reconciliation workflows while escalating accounting or tax-policy decisions to the accountable Finance or Tax owner
- Own test strategy and release readiness; collect user-acceptance evidence and maintain documentation, monitoring, and runbooks
- Identify and deliver AI-assisted improvements to analysis and testing; partner with finance to deploy low-risk automation and agents without bypassing approvals, human review, or financial controls
Requirements:
- Four or more years of experience in finance systems, business systems, SaaS operations, or integration engineering
- Hands-on NetSuite experience, with a strong understanding of operational-finance and order-to-cash processes, and evidence of independently owning a complex workflow end to end
- Experience designing and supporting APIs, webhooks, integrations, or workflow automation in a production environment
- Working knowledge of invoices, payments, refunds, reconciliation, revenue dates, multi-currency considerations, and the downstream impact of system changes
- Experience supporting indirect-tax processes and tax-system integrations, such as Vertex or a comparable tax engine
- A methodical approach to testing, exception handling, documentation, and operational support
- Clear written and verbal communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Good judgement about when a change needs finance approval, tax guidance, peer review, or a controlled release
- Evidence of sound technical judgement, ownership, and a practical instinct to turn ambiguous operational friction into a durable improvement
