Job Description
Fire damper and ventilation hygiene engineer inspecting dampers and cleaning ventilation systems for PTSG. Travelling to UK customer sites while leading or supporting two-person teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead or support a two-person team carrying out fire damper inspections, testing and drop testing
- Clean commercial kitchen extraction systems in accordance with TR19 Grease standards
- Carry out ventilation and ductwork cleaning
- Identify, record and report defects
- Complete accurate job reports with photographic evidence
- Work safely and professionally on customer sites
- For Team Leaders, take responsibility for team leadership, site productivity, health and safety, and work quality
- For 2nd Engineers, support the Team Leader in completing works efficiently and to required standards
- Travel to customer sites across the UK, including overnight stays where required
- Work day and night shifts according to operational requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in ventilation hygiene, fire damper testing, ductwork cleaning or a similar role is essential
- Experience leading a team would be advantageous for the Team Leader position
- Willingness to learn and develop within the role for 2nd Engineer positions
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid CSCS card
- Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check
- Practical, can-do attitude
- Good physical fitness
- Willingness to work at height and in confined spaces where required
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health & safety
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work day and night shifts, including 10-hour shifts and overnight stays where required
