Job Description
Forward Deployed Engineer building AI production systems for Lunon’s client companies. Owning deployments, integrations, reliability, and client handoffs end to end.
Responsibilities:
- Own a client engagement end to end, from understanding business operations through deciding what to build
- Build production systems in client environments using speech, text, event data, LLM-backed workflows, human review, and integrations
- Deploy systems to client clouds and own reliability, observability, security, and on-call operations
- Scope business requests into shippable, high-value slices
- Teach client teams to operate delivered systems and document the implementation
- Turn client learnings into shared tooling, evaluations, and patterns for Lunon
- Collaborate with Lunon team members and client-side stakeholders
Requirements:
- 4+ years building and operating production software
- At least one system owned from design through on-call
- Experience shipping LLM or ML systems in real workflows with real users
- Proficiency with TypeScript or Python services
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases
- Experience with a major cloud platform
- Experience with CI/CD
- Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to explain a project from business problem through production
- Ability to travel to client sites when needed
- Authorized to work in the US
- Experience with speech-to-text, conversation analytics, or large volumes of unstructured text preferred
- Experience with consulting, agency, or forward-deployed work preferred
- Experience integrating CRM, telephony, or data warehouse systems preferred
- Experience with private equity-backed companies preferred
