Job Description
Remote UX apprenticeship helping women and underrepresented founders launch digital and AI startups. Building research-driven products through mentorship and a seven-month accelerator.
Responsibilities:
- Complete an end-to-end design and research process for a startup idea of choice
- Build digital products and services from 0–1
- Lead product and feature scoping and project management
- Identify target markets and position products for launch success
- Incorporate AI tools into UX design and design AI features and products
- Understand AI functionality and advocate for ethical AI design
- Develop scalable business models for products or services
- Lead discovery research, including recruitment, research plans, interview guides, 8–16 interviews, and synthesis
- Deliver UX design and business pitches using qualitative and quantitative data
- Create personas, stakeholder maps, journey maps, process maps, service blueprints, sketches, wireframes, workflows, prototypes, and other visual deliverables
- Lead user testing and iterate to improve usability
- Create a design system, components, style guide, and branding
- Analyze direct and indirect competitors and articulate solution differentiators
- Consult with startups on UX research, UX design, product design, and service design work
Requirements:
- Open to new grads and UX career changers
- Interested in launching a digital app, AI app, or digital business/startup
- Willing to commit 5–10 hours of work per week to complete program deliverables
- Willing to attend 2–3 hour weekend lectures or complete online video course modules
- Open to feedback from mentors and willing to revise design work
- Must submit LinkedIn profile and resume with the application
- Must complete a brief interview process if contacted
- No UX resume or portfolio required
