Job Description
Freelance legal interpreter providing remote interpretation for U.S. immigration court hearings. Handling asylum, removal, bond, and related proceedings across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote interpretation services for U.S. immigration court hearings
- Interpret asylum, removal, credible fear, bond, and related proceedings
- Provide simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation
- Support hearings across multiple U.S. time zones from the chosen location
- Accept assignments according to availability
Requirements:
- U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted for permanent residence
- At least one year of experience interpreting in a judicial environment
- Ability to interpret for immigration courts
- Experience with simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation
- Submit a resume and brief summary of judicial/legal interpreting experience
- Include language pair(s), certification(s), and availability in the application
