Job Description
Front-end Engineer expanding Capital One Shopping through SEO, AEO, and GEO. Building scalable TypeScript front-end systems, shared libraries, and AI-native engineering workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Increase the reach of Capital One Shopping via SEO, AEO, and GEO
- Design and build high-performance, highly optimized front-end code and architectures for user experience and search visibility
- Partner with Software Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to deliver features for 100M+ customers
- Architect, build, and maintain core components and shared libraries for multiple teams
- Contribute to standards for cross-platform consistency, scalability, and accessibility
- Serve as a subject matter expert in SEO, web performance, networking, or design systems
- Partner with infrastructure and backend teams to improve CI/CD, observability, reliability engineering, and release practices
- Define strategies for agentic AI tools, specialized agents, skills, and open-standard tools such as Model Context Protocol
- Mentor and guide senior engineers in AI-native workflows and agentic coding
- Apply modern web ecosystem expertise, including PWAs, Wasm, mobile web, and Service Workers, to solve challenging product-area problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering)
- At least 6 years of professional experience in software engineering; internship experience does not apply
- At least 6 years of experience developing applications using TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Svelte)
- At least 3 years of experience architecting or leading the development of federated front-end or design systems with cross-application adoption
