Job Description
Front-End Engineer building React and TypeScript healthcare applications for doctors and consumers. Improving accessible interfaces and integrating reliable front-end experiences with backend services.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript
- Implement UI based on designs and specifications, collaborating closely with product designers and product managers
- Apply design judgment to refine UI details, improve usability, and ensure a polished, consistent user experience across screens and workflows
- Develop reusable UI components and contribute to consistent UI patterns across the product
- Integrate front-end features with back-end services and REST APIs, including loading, error, and empty states
- Ensure front-end quality through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Optimize front-end performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Follow best practices for security and privacy when handling user data
- Collaborate with back-end engineers, QA, and product to ship improvements iteratively
- Build and improve web applications used by non-technical users, including doctors and end consumers
Requirements:
- 90% English written and oral (at least B2 level) with excellent communication skills
- BS/MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering field
- 7+ years of industry experience as a Front End Engineer building web applications
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
- Strong product and design sensibility, with the ability to build polished, intuitive interfaces and make thoughtful UI/UX decisions when designs are incomplete or evolving
- Solid understanding of component architecture, maintainable front-end patterns, and working with APIs
- Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling real-world edge cases
- Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with modern front-end build tools and workflows, such as Vite and Webpack
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team
- Creativity in problem-solving
- Experience working with Figma or similar design tools is a plus
- An independent, driven approach with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and execute autonomously
- A business-oriented mindset and comfort operating within a fast-paced startup environment
