Job Description
Full Stack Developer building secure Java/Spring Boot and Angular platforms for federal enterprise systems. Maintaining workflows, APIs, databases, accessibility, cybersecurity, and automated testing.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer, sustain, enhance, and securely operate enterprise mission-critical web platforms and workflow management systems
- Design, develop, test, and deploy secure, accessible, high-performing web applications and RESTful integration services
- Maintain and enhance Angular SPAs using standalone components, routing, reactive forms, HTTP services, state management, and authentication/context interceptors
- Apply USWDS standards, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and Section 508/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility
- Build and sustain Java/Spring Boot REST APIs and microservices using controller, service, repository, and DTO architectures
- Maintain workflow engines and state machines for agreement lifecycles, renewals, administrative actions, and approval chains
- Maintain secure electronic signature and digitally signed PDF generation, verification, archival, and retrieval workflows
- Manage OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, backward compatibility, pagination, audit logging, and API versioning
- Optimize Oracle schemas, queries, indexes, constraints, views, and JPA/Hibernate mappings
- Maintain data ingestion pipelines, synchronization processes, validation, deduplication, quarantine rules, and outbound API feeds
- Maintain scheduled processors for notifications, expirations, and batch processing
- Implement OAuth2/OIDC, PKI/CAC, Spring Security, RBAC, and audited administrative impersonation
- Remediate vulnerabilities found by SAST, DAST, and SCA tools
- Assist with RMF artifacts, POA&Ms, and continuous ATO support
- Champion automation-first testing and TDD across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Integrate automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines and map specifications/test cases to an RTM
- Provide Tier II/III application and database support, root-cause analysis, and production fixes
- Collaborate within a cross-functional Agile team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience across the complete SDLC
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (v12+, preferably modern versions such as v17+) and TypeScript
- 3+ years of hands-on backend development building secure REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot (v2.x/3.x)
- Strong proficiency with Oracle, SQL query optimization, database schema design, and JPA/Hibernate ORM
- Understanding of RESTful API architecture, OpenAPI/Swagger, and HTTP client/interceptor design
- Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, Spring Security, and web application security
- Hands-on experience with Git, Jira, and GitLab
- Understanding of Section 508/WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
- Active DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification or higher required
- U.S. citizenship required
- Public Trust or favorably adjudicated Secret Clearance required to start
- Ability to comply with federal cybersecurity directives, OPSEC policies, and PII/CUI protection requirements
- Exceptional analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment and communicate technical designs effectively
