Job Description
Full Stack Engineer building Mem0’s AI memory platform across Next.js and Python. Shipping scalable product features, APIs, and production systems for developers.
Responsibilities:
- Build the Mem0 Platform's product surface end to end across Next.js and Python
- Design APIs, build user interfaces, write backend logic, own data models, and deploy features to production
- Optimize latency, caching, and query patterns for scale and speed
- Write tests, enforce typing and linting, review pull requests, and maintain clean, documented code
- Collaborate with design on UX, research on new memory capabilities, and customers on requirements
- Add observability, set alerts, debug production issues, and drive continuous improvements
- Prioritize product work, make trade-offs explicit, and iterate based on data and feedback
- Unblock teammates, learn new tools, and deliver effectively
- Report directly to Deshraj Yadav, Co-founder and CTO, while working closely with the engineering team in San Francisco
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience shipping full stack web applications at scale using Next.js/React and Python
- Strong Python fundamentals and familiarity with modern web stacks (REST, Postgres, Redis, Celery or similar queues)
- Solid front-end depth: component architecture, state management, forms, accessibility, SSR/ISR
- Track record of owning features end to end, from design doc through rollout and post-launch iteration
- Unit and integration testing, type safety (TypeScript, mypy or pyright), CI/CD, and code review practices
- Comfortable operating production systems using logs, metrics, and tracing, and meeting low-latency requirements
- Clear communication and ability to work across design, research, and GTM
- Experience integrating LLM or memory features into products (RAG, embeddings, vector DBs) preferred
- Experience with real-time features, file uploads, and background jobs at scale preferred
- Infrastructure awareness including Docker, IaC, basic Kubernetes, Vercel, AWS or GCP deployment patterns preferred
- Experience with Tailwind, design systems, charts, empty states, error UX, and performance budgets preferred
- Security and privacy basics, including PII handling and audit logging, preferred
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup, Series A, YC, or as a founding engineer preferred
