Job Description
Full Stack Engineer building Volio, Cascadience’s AI-powered companion for neurodivergent students. Developing Python, AWS, AI workflow, mobile, and gamification features.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the Python/FastAPI backend running on AWS ECS Fargate
- Develop and improve AI-powered multi-agent workflows using Amazon Bedrock and LangGraph
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines and long-term semantic memory
- Develop mobile features using React Native, Flutter, or native iOS/Android technologies
- Create lightweight 2D gamification and student progression features
- Integrate GPS/geolocation functionality for school and class-related experiences
- Design and maintain data models across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB Atlas
- Contribute to AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and secure cloud architecture
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Support mobile releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play
- Monitor application performance using New Relic, OpenTelemetry, and AWS X-Ray
- Collaborate with product, operations, marketing, and external partners to turn ideas into accessible, reliable products
Requirements:
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production applications, APIs, or mobile applications
- Strong experience with Python and preferably FastAPI
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment
- Genuine interest in accessibility, inclusion, and technology that improves people’s lives
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
- Master’s degree is preferred
- Preferred experience with LangGraph, LangChain, Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, React Native, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin, RAG, vector databases, AI/LLM applications, AWS ECS Fargate, Terraform, MongoDB Atlas Vector Search, Google OR-Tools / CP-SAT, mobile application deployment, observability, and distributed systems
- Ability to work in the EST time zone
