Job Description
Full Stack Engineer building and launching a consumer gardening mobile application for Huntridge Labs, a digital engineering company serving government and public-sector organizations. Expanding features, improving UX and performance, and developing React.js front ends with Node.js back ends.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and ship native and/or cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android
- Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to deliver clean, intuitive user interfaces
- Develop and maintain front-end components using React.js
- Build scalable back-end RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js, Express, or similar technologies
- Prepare the gardening application for App Store and Google Play launch
- Improve features, user experience, and performance under real-world usage
- Identify and fix bugs to ensure a seamless launch
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and product managers
- Perform code reviews and contribute to team documentation
- Mentor fellow guild members and maintain engineering excellence
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in full stack development
- Strong proficiency in React.js
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping mobile applications for iOS and/or Android
- Experience using React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or similar technologies
- Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end tooling
- Experience with back-end development using Node.js, Express, or similar
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Public Trust security clearance
- Experience publishing to the App Store and Google Play
- Experience using Claude Code or similar tools to accelerate quality code development
- Experience developing in highly regulated environments
- Background in public-facing or commercial applications where user experience was a critical success factor
