Job Description
Fullstack Engineer building claims, insurance, and billing platforms for Alan, a prevention-insurance company. Developing Python/JavaScript systems serving over one million members across multiple countries.
Responsibilities:
- Build infrastructure, interfaces, and applications for members, health professionals, and internal users
- Work with significant product interaction and ownership
- Contribute to claims management systems processing healthcare expenses, documents, coverage, payments, fraud prevention, and member experiences
- Build insurance infrastructure including real-time pricing, AI-powered Sales tools, and the global insurance stack
- Develop billing, invoicing, affiliation, employment, reconciliation, and API infrastructure for Customer Enablement
- Tackle high-impact, high-risk projects involving many engineers
- Design efficient systems and engineering practices across multiple teams and products
- Mentor engineers and lead crews
- Contribute to hiring and improve the technical assessment process
- Work in one of three areas: Claims Management, Insurance Offer, or Customer Enablement
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- Full-stack engineering experience
- Well-versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, and C#
- Enthusiasm for web technologies such as modern Javascript
- Willingness to work in Python/JavaScript; prior experience with both is not required
- Passion for building products
- Self-starting and entrepreneurial
- Collaborative and enthusiastic about teamwork, learning, and teaching
- Fluent in English
- Ability to legally work for any employer in France, Belgium, or Spain
- Currently based in or willing to relocate to France, Spain, or Belgium
