Job Description
General accounting staff managing Xero, payroll, reconciliations, and PropertyMe records for an Australian property-management group. Supporting Australian real estate, trust accounting, and compliance operations remotely from the Philippines.
Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile daily bank transactions across multiple entities in Xero
- Maintain bookkeeping and general ledger records, including invoices, bills, and expenses
- Perform bank and credit-card reconciliations and monitor outstanding accounts receivable
- Review and allocate transactions to entities and charts of accounts
- Investigate unreconciled, duplicated, or incorrectly recorded items
- Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions
- Assist with intercompany transaction, loan, and month-end balance-sheet reconciliations
- Process and review property-management transactions in PropertyMe, including rent, fees, and disbursements
- Reconcile PropertyMe transactions against bank activity and Xero records
- Review property-related income and allocate it correctly to landlords and properties
- Assist with property-management portfolio reporting
- Investigate PropertyMe reconciliation issues and coordinate with the Property Management team
- Maintain landlord and property financial records in PropertyMe
- Assist with Xero Payroll preparation and review, including timesheets, leave, allowances, deductions, and payroll changes
- Support superannuation reconciliation and payment preparation
- Maintain payroll schedules and employee financial records
- Assist with salary-sacrifice and employee-deduction reconciliations
- Support payroll month-end and year-end processes and reporting
- Assist with monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations and month-end schedules
- Review GST coding and assist with GST transaction reviews and BAS preparation
- Support PAYG, payroll tax, and other tax/compliance schedules
- Prepare documentation for accountants, auditors, and external advisers
- Maintain organised tax and compliance records in line with ATO record-keeping requirements
- Monitor finance inboxes and respond to supplier and internal accounting queries
- Request missing invoices, receipts, and supporting documents
- Maintain supplier and payment information in Xero and related systems
- Assist with payment processing and approval workflows
- Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc accounting and finance tasks
Requirements:
- Previous bookkeeping or general accounting experience, ideally within an Australian environment
- Hands-on experience with Xero, including general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR
- Experience with PropertyMe or a similar property management system
- Understanding of trust/property accounting workflows highly valued
- Self-provided equipment
- Computer with at least 8GB RAM
- 512GB HDD/SSD
- Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 (12th generation or newest) processor
- Windows 11 Home or Pro
- Power backup such as power station, powerbank, or UPS
- Secondary/external monitor
- Noise-cancelling headset and webcam
- Internet speed of 40–50 Mbps minimum for both download and upload
- BIR self-registration and required government contributions
- NBI or Police Clearance
- Government-issued ID
- Ability to work 7AM–4PM MNL time, Mondays to Fridays
- English proficiency test submission
- Personality test submission
- 1–2 minute self-introduction video in English
- Dual-monitor setup requested

- Willingness to comply with IT, security, system-monitoring, and productivity requirements
- References from a former employer or supervisor
- Agreement to independent contractor contract under Singapore law with Philippines Resources Pte. Ltd.
