Job Description
Remote legal procurement SME supporting a federal government agency for Intelligence Federal, a federal contracting company. Reviewing contracts, procurement actions, compliance risks, disputes, and bid protest materials.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the day-to-day federal contracts SME
- Review procurement actions, PWS requirements, clauses, deliverables, and contract files to identify and reduce compliance, performance, and documentation risk
- Advise contracting, program, technical, legal, and government stakeholders on contract formation, administration, modifications, claims, disputes, and issue resolution
- Support bid protest prevention and response by reviewing procurement documentation, evaluation records, source selection materials, and contract language
- Analyze contract risks, compliance gaps, investigations, litigation-sensitive matters, and process concerns
- Recommend practical corrective actions to avoid escalation
- Draft, revise, and maintain reports, briefings, trackers, procedures, and audit-ready documentation for customer review and leadership decision-making
- Support a federal government agency as a Government Legal Procurement SME
Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Public Trust Clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
- Senior-level experience supporting U.S. Government procurement, federal contracting, defense, construction, logistics, ship repair, RDT&E, or military construction programs
- Strong background in contract formation, contract administration, requirements documents, PWS review, contract clauses, and performance-based requirements
- Experience advising contracting professionals, program leadership, government customers, or senior leaders on complex contract actions and compliance matters
- Experience with fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, time-and-materials, IDIQ, and requirements contracts
- Background supporting contract disputes, claims, bid protests, investigations, litigation coordination, or sensitive/high-visibility matters
- Knowledge of fiscal law, government ethics, FOIA/Privacy Act, administrative law, and federal compliance expectations
- Ability to draft and review briefings, reports, procedures, contract documents, clauses, trackers, and deliverable packages
