Job Description

Part-time Graphic Designer creating accessible, user-centered interfaces for VA data-management applications. Integrating designs with .NET Core, C#, Power Platform, and Section 508 standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement accessible, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for VA OAA Data Management Center applications and platforms
  • Create user-centered designs using Bootstrap, jQuery, and centralized CSS files
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate designs within the .NET Core, C#, and Power Platform environment
  • Ensure all new and modified designs comply with Section 508 accessibility standards
  • Maintain visual and functional consistency across applications and reports
  • Support formal usability testing activities under Task 5, as directed by the COR

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field; no equivalencies accepted
  • 4+ years of graphic design experience focused on user-centered design and accessibility
  • Proficiency in Bootstrap, jQuery, centralized CSS files, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience collaborating with development teams to integrate designs into technical environments
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal Public Trust clearance
  • Resume must be submitted in Word document format and include dates in each section
