Job Description
Head of Teaching leading nationwide remote education operations for an EdTech scale-up. Shaping AI-focused curricula, teaching quality, processes, and scalable learning programs.
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for teaching operations across multiple education programs
- Leadership of a Germany-wide distributed remote team, including Team Leads and team members
- Establishment of cross-program teaching operations with shared standards, formats, tools, and continuous knowledge exchange
- Responsibility for quality, instructional design, and certification requirements
- Ensuring a consistently high-quality learning experience
- Further development of existing and new educational offerings based on participant feedback as well as market and competitive developments
- Identifying and leveraging AI and technology opportunities in education
- Developing scalable learning models for growing participant numbers
- Establishing scalable processes for planning, documentation, and quality assurance
- Defining and analyzing relevant KPIs and ensuring target achievement
- Identifying opportunities for automation and AI implementation
- Monitoring course launches, capacity, utilization, and program duration
- Identifying bottlenecks and efficiency losses at an early stage
- Ensuring reliable staffing for courses in collaboration with Team Leads
- Representing the educational offering to Sales and Marketing
- Coordinating new course launches and updating content, playbooks, and communication materials
Requirements:
- Several years of disciplinary leadership experience managing larger teams, ideally in a remote environment and with experience leading Team Leads
- Experience building structures, processes, and KPI frameworks
- Accuracy and reliability in documentation and compliance-related reporting
- AI as an integral part of your everyday work
- Experience with digital workflows and CRM systems such as HubSpot
- Understanding of data protection in digital and AI environments
- Knowledge of the GDPR and the EU AI Act
- Experience in a startup, scale-up, or similarly dynamic organization
- Native-level or highly proficient German
- Very good English skills
- Experience in education, hands-on teaching experience, curriculum or educational program design, or work in an AZAV-certified environment is a plus
- Experience with education vouchers, accredited bodies, and the German Federal Employment Agency is especially valuable
